Friday, May 25th
- It’s not too late to buy a new grill for the long weekend and all those upcoming summer BBQs. Brown’s TV & Appliance is having a big Memorial Day weekend sale through May 31 with huge rebates on 4 piece appliance packages and laundry bundles. The new, highly-touted Electrolux front load washer models are arriving and will be on display. Buy a Napoleon Grill and get two free accessories.
Saturday, May 26th
- Spend the day exploring your inner creativity. Attend the Precious Metal Clay workshop with artist Julie Booras of Heart & Stone and learn how to make an unique pendant and/or pair of earrings.
Sunday, May 27th
- The next best thing to watching the Boston Celtics is to go watch (or participate) in the 135 Spring Classic Basketball Tournament.
Monday, May 28th
- Come out to the Northborough Memorial Day Remembrance parade to remember our veterans and those currently serving in uniform.
- You can watch the parade from the front lawn at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist church and then enjoy lunch and activities at their Memorial Day Fair.
- There’s no town trash collection on the holiday, which means trash pick up for the rest of the week will be delayed a day.
And Don’t Forget To:
- Visit the Northborough Guide business directory and write recommendations for all your favorite local businesses—from dentists to contractors, restaurants to yoga studios and everything in between!
- Apply sunscreen. If you find yourself in the sun while at Ellsworth-McAfee park, there is a sunscreen dispenser near the snack shack thanks to the Northboro Junior Woman’s Club.
- Reserve your passes to area attractions and museums from the Northborough Free Library. There are a variety of them available and will give you free or discounted admission.
- Visit Heart & Stone or J. Briggs & Co. to find the perfect Graduation/Confirmation/First Communion/Fathers Day gift.
- Be a blood donor with the American Red Cross. There are always blood drives nearby.
- Make your holiday weekend reservation at Romaine’s Wood Bar and Grill before they fill up!
- Paint rocks. Northborough Rocks! is a community-building group meant to inspire creativity among all ages and energize people to explore the town. The group continues to spread joy and brighten someone’s day. If you find a rock you may keep it, re-hide it, or let it be. You are encouraged to paint and hide your own.
