Saturday, May 5th

  • Start at the DPW Garage for Take It or Leave It Day and Foam-it Recycling! Great opportunity to get rid of some stuff that’s taking up room and your house — and replace it with more stuff to fill the now open space!
  • When you’re done taking and leaving stuff, be sure to catch all the festivities at Northborough Baseball and Softball Opening Day! There will be a parade, games, bouncy houses, BBQ, music and more. Fun whether or not you have a baseball player!
  • Don’t forget that Mother’s Day is only a week away. Have you thought about Grandma too? Heart & Stone Jewelry is holding a Thumbprint Jewelry Event at Northborough’s PYOP Studio. Bring the kiddos and get their prints memorialized in Silver or Bronze. Sign-ups are required in advance to book your time slot.
  • Now that you’ve warn yourself out, ditch the kids at the Northborough Rec Department’s Kids Night Out, grab your best hat, and head over to Romaine’s Kentucky Derby Party for some complimentary Southern Bites and a Mint Julep or two!

Tuesday, May 8th

  • We don’t usually include weekdays in our Weekend Roundup, but Tuesday is Northborough Election Day! Remember that every vote really does count — especially on a local level. We have several contested races including K-8 School Committee, Planning Board and Board of Selectman. Please take the time to brush up on the candidates and make educated choices. The Northborough Education Foundation recently interviewed all of the School Committee candidates. Recordings can be found on their Facebook Page. Information on other candidates can also be found on Facebook and in the Community Advocate.
