Following is the statement that was submitted by the candidate.
Dear Northborough,
I miss seeing so many of you and your smiling faces at the Bistro, I hope all are doing well and staying healthy!
I’m writing here to let you know I‘m running for the Planning Board seat that I have held for the past year, to continue my efforts to represent our town and help plan for future development.
I am, a long time resident who raised 3 Milton’s here, a successful downtown business owner and a strong supporter of local charities and numerous organizations. As well as serving on the Planning Board, I currently sit on Historical District Commission, Community Preservation Commission, as an alternate or voting member. I am invested and will continue to be invested in the robust vibrancy of our community and the long-term quality of life for our residents and businesses.
While a Planning Board member, last year I worked on approving the Master Plan with my fellow board members and the Master Plan Committee to highlight the wishes of the residents. This collective effort should help nurture a path for downtown economic development.
I will continue researching our needs and contribute by adjusting bylaws or proposing new ones to meet the ever-changing uses we want in our town.
I have been able to be successful in an industry with exceptionally high failure rates by being persistent, going against the status quo and overcoming challenges. We have had great success at the Bistro and I have emerged with new tools, that will come in handy, but creativity and hard work will be necessary for not only my business, but for the others in our community to continue to succeed. I’ll be able to use my experience on the Planning Board to help guide me through the many new hurdles we will face.
This year brings a new and serious concern for how our community will emerge from the Covid-19 crisis. We need strong innovative decision making now more than ever to manage through these times. We want to be thinking outside the box with creativity to ensure a balance of community needs and economic strength.
We need leadership, not followership!

Looking forward to hearing from you and earning an opportunity to gain your confidence and support.
