Northborough resident fundraising for cancer research, awareness

So many people have been affected by cancer directly themselves, or while supporting friends or close family members who have been diagnosed with it.

Northborough resident Meghan Soens is fighting back. She will be participating in an amateur, sanctioned boxing match and raising funds to benefit Haymakers for Hope, a non-profit dedicated to cancer research, awareness and survivorship.

As part of her fundraising efforts, a fundraiser will be held on Friday, July 22 at MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes located at 10010 Shops Way in Northborough from 4:30-9:00 p.m. Be sure to mention the fundraiser when placing an in-person order or use promo code NORTHBOROFUN when ordering with the rewards app. MOOYAH will be donating a percentage of sales to Meghan’s effort.

Meghan will be one of 26 ladies participating in the Belles of the Brawl IX boxing event on Thursday, Sept. 29 at MGM Music Hall in Boston. She is in the midst of four months of intensive training.
