The Town of Northborough Scholarship Committee is accepting online scholarship applications from high school graduating students of the Class of 2024.
The scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who live in Northborough and plan to further their education. Consideration is given to the applicants’ academic standing, financial need, employment and community service experience, school or extracurricular activities, and essay.
Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, March 15. The online application link can be found at https://sites.google.com/view/northboroughscholarship.
The Northborough Scholarship Committee was established in 2001 and its members are appointed by the Select Board.
In 2023, a total of $3,300 was awarded to seven recipients.
The scholarship awards are determined by the committee every year based on the funds available. The Scholarship Fund does not receive funding from the town budget and depends on community donations and fundraiser support.
Community members who wish to support students can do so online, through the mail or by adding an amount to their tax bill payments to benefit the scholarship fund.
A new Tribute Donation platform is also available for those who would like to make a donation in honor of or in memory of a loved one.
