EMOTIONAL WELL BEING: Thursdays, September 8, 15, 22, 29 and October 6, 13; 1:00 p.m.
Northborough Residents Only. This class is part of Northborough’s Be Well Events. In this 6-week series you will learn to enhance your emotional control and insight by focusing on self-care. The tools you learn will assist you in moving forward to a healthy and positive future. Synergy Wellness Center of Hudson instructor Suzanne Peters is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has experience working with adults of all ages. Registration is limited to ten Northborough residents. Emotional Well Being is brought to you with federal American Rescue Plan Act funds provided by the Town of Northborough and administered by the Be Well Northborough Working group.

STRENGTH AND BALANCE: Thursdays, starting September 8, 11:00 a.m. Suggested Donation: $4. Instructor Caitlin Borsini will lead a class, which combines strength training for muscle and bone density and stability exercises to improve balance. The class will use body weight and some props such as chairs and resistance tubing for additional challenges.

TONE DEAF” DROP-IN CHORUS: Fridays, starting September 9, 10:45–11:45 a.m. Cost: $4. You know all about the benefits of singing in a chorus (mental, physical, even spiritual), but you think you are “tone deaf”! Now there’s a chorus where you will fit right in! This will be an accompanied (think karaoke) chorus, where we welcome everyone, singers, and non-singers alike. Come join Manoj Padki (our Acapella and Ukulele instructor) and find your voice in this judgement-free group.

REAL ID Workshop, Tuesday, September 20, 4:30 p.m. This is a free course. REAL ID compliance begins May 3, 2023, which means that a REAL ID compliant driver’s license or identification card, or a valid and unexpired Passport, will be required to fly domestically and to enter secure federal buildings, such as federal court houses and certain Social Security offices. This workshop helps people understand what a REAL ID is, identifies who will need to have a REAL ID, provides detailed instruction on how to apply for one, and answers pressing questions like, “Does everyone need to have a REAL ID?” (Answer: No, not everyone will need or want a REAL ID.)
