Northborough Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NSPAC) has announced it’s September schedule of free parent workshops and presentations.
Monday, Sept. 25: Basic Rights in Special Education – A FREE workshop for parents and professionals. 6 pm – 8 pm. Algonquin Regional High School, 79 Bartlett St., Northborough in the Library. The workshop will provide a basic understanding of the complex special education laws and procedures. Presented by Gayle Dublin, Federation for Children with Special Needs, Parent Training & Information Center.
Tuesday, Sept. 26: When Friends Don’t Come Easy. 7 pm. Join co-hosts Shrewsbury SEPAC and Westborough SEPAC for this free workshop presented by Alison Ratner Mayer, LICSW, of Child Therapy Boston. NSPAC membership is open to parents and guardians of children who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504s or anyone interested in special education within the district. Collaboration with parents and district administration ensures that children with special needs and learning differences in the district receive a safe and appropriate education.
