The first month of school is coming to an end as the schools kick off a busy October. Please consult the district or the individual school website for up-to-date information and any changes to information.
The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough administration is encouraging parents to give consent for their kids to participate in the free COVID-19 testing at school.
The Northborough Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NSPAC) will hold its first family social event on Sunday October 3 at Fayville Playground, Central St., Southborough, from 1-3 p.m. Meet and chat with fellow parents of students with disabilities while your child enjoys meeting friends and some end of summer fun. NSPAC will provide snacks and drinks. All are welcome. Please register online.

- October 11: Columbus Day/Indigenous People’s Day- no school
- October 12: NSPAC will host a webinar featuring Kerry Magro, an award winning national speaker, best selling author, and autism advocate. 6:30-8 p.m. Registration required.
- October 13: Zeh School Photo Day; PTO meeting at 6:30 p.m.
- October 14: Algonquin Regional High School Open House, 6:30 p.m. (This is a full day of school.)
- October 15: Algonquin Regional High School Homecoming night
- October 16: PSATs, Algonquin Regional High School
- October 20: Regional School Committee meeting, 6:30 p.m.
- October 21: 8th grade parent night at Algonquin, 6:30 p.m.
- October 22: Algonquin Regional High School photo day grades 9-11
- October 26 & 28: Melican Middle School Early Release for parent/teacher conferences
- October 28: Sachem’s Coffeehouse at Algonquin Regional High School Blackbox Theater, 7 p.m.
