It’s Applefest weekend and the weather looks perfect!

Friday, September 20
- Visit Heart and Stone Jewelry online to save 15% on a special Northborough charm — or any other ready-to-wear jewelry. Use code NBORO15.
- Enter your favorite apple recipe in the Apple Bake Off by 10 am at the Senior Center and have lunch there at 11:30 am to see who wins.
- Today is the last day to register for youth basketball – rec and travel teams – to receive the early bird discount.
- Bring the littles to the Northborough Library at 10:30 am for some magic with Debbie O’Carroll.
- For those without Gala tickets, go to Open Circle’s movie night.
- For those with tickets, the Gala is tonight at the Courtyard Marriott, 75 Felton St in Marlborough.
- Swing by the sidewalk sale at Craftworks for some special deals on unique gifts!
Saturday, September 21
- 8-11 am: Northboro Church of Christ has the breakfast you need to start your busy day ahead.
- 10 am: Run the 5K starting at Melican Middle School and support Boros Cares for Troops.
- Refuel at the Apple Pie Cafe sponsored by the Northboro Junior Woman’s Club. This year you will find them at St. Bernadette’s 9 am-2 pm.
- Browse, shop and eat your way through the many vendors at the Street Fair (Blake Street) from 10 am-3 pm. Make sure to visit the Northborough Guide businesses who will have booths: Susan Ogar Photography, Northboro Chiropractic, The Crafty Nest DIY, Craftworks and Diane Cournoyer Dance Center. There will be lots to do for the kids, plus raffles, giveaways, shopping and more!
- Stop by the Northborough Fire Department between 10 am-2 pm to learn about fire prevention. Kids will receive a fire hat and everyone can thank our Firefighters for their service.
- The Farmer’s Market will be held 10 am-3 pm in the parking lot behind 10 Main Street (corner of Route 20 and South Street) and will not disappoint. Local farms and vendors will showcase products such as honey, meat, cheese, syrup, brownies, spices, candles, home-made soaps, pasta and fresh cut flowers.
- Stop by the Northborough Historical Society from 10 am-2 pm for an ice cream and root beer social. The Art & Bloom Show is also onsite from 12-4 pm.
- Stock up on books for the fall and winter at the Northborough Library’s sidewalk booksale from 10 am-3 pm.
- A Snow White meet and greet will be held at Hay’s Funeral Home Saturday and Sunday from 12-2 pm. Train rides will be held on Sunday.
- Hike the Edmunds Trail at noon.
- Local Toastmaster Clubs will share stories of the Autumn season at the library 12-2 pm.
- Trinity Church is holding fun days on both Saturday and Sunday.
- Enjoy a rope monkey bridge, petting zoo, kids’ crafts and games, music and food at the Church of the Nativity, 10 am-2 pm
- End the day at the American Legion for their popular chicken BBQ from 4-6 pm.
Sunday, September 22
- Pancakes anyone? Boy Scout Troop 1 has them for you from 7-11 am at the American Legion.
- The Northborough Cultural Council is holding its Culture Fest from 10:30 am-4:30 pm featuring music, art, a kids’ corner, delicious BBQ from Kelleher Catering, multi cultural desserts, coffee and Trombetta’s ice cream all on the front lawn of the Unitarian Church on Church Street.
- View classic cars from 11 am-2 pm at the Northboro Shopping Plaza.
- Don’t miss the parade, which starts at 2 pm and marches down Route 20 from Lincoln Street to School Street. Kids don’t forget your bags to collect all the candy being tossed. Keep an eye out for our dancing friends from Diane Cournoyer Dance Center!
- Time to eat again at the Taste of Northborough being held from 4-6 pm at Melican Middle School (advance tickets encouraged).

- Support the ARHS Football team and have a night off from cooking.
