Ski Ward Race Team to Hold Information Night

Ski Ward Race Team to Hold Information Night

The Ski Ward Race Team (SWRT) is a volunteer-run, learn-to-race program whose mission is to promote the ideals of good sportsmanship, and to provide an opportunity for young skiers to develop and improve their skiing and racing skills in a safe and enjoyable recreational ski team setting. Racers range in age from 5 to 17 and include a wide variety of ability levels. The only requirement to join the team is that a skier can ski independently and confidently from the top of Ski Ward to the bottom, and can ride the chair lift and T-bar without adult assistance.

SWRT practices at Ski Ward in Shrewsbury on Friday nights, beginning in early December, and races on Sunday mornings from early January through the first weekend in March. Races are held at Ski Ward, Nashoba Valley Ski Area (Westford), Bradford Ski Area (Haverill) and Blue Hills Ski Area (Canton).

The Ski Ward Race Team will be holding an Information Night on Monday, October 1st from 7:30-8:45 PM at the Shrewsbury Public Library, 609 Main St., Shrewsbury, MA. For more information, or to register for the 2018-19 season, visit www.skiwardraceteam.com or email skiwardraceteam@gmail.com.
