Splash Pad opens on June 15

The Northborough Recreation Department has announced that the Assabet Park Splash Pad kicks off its summer season on Saturday, June 15. The hours for the Splash Pad for the summer will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am – 4 pm. It will be closed on Tuesday and Thursdays.

The Splash Pad is located on the corner of Gale Road and South Street (Route 135). It is of one the most popular spots in Northborough for toddlers and preschoolers! The Splash Pad is adjacent to the toddler playground at Assabet Park and offers several different water features such as bubblers, misters, and geysers to delight everyone from babies to preschool-aged kids. Since it is on an asphalt surface, it is recommended to wear water shoes to protect sensitive toes. Bring your beach chair and a picnic lunch and enjoy the day while your little ones run and play in the water! This facility is open to the public for no charge. The Splash Pad will not be open in inclement weather.

It will close on Septemmber 2.
