Ready or not, school is back in session this week. Teachers have been setting up their classrooms and students arrive on Wednesday, August 31! Please be patient as the bus drivers become familiar with their routes and everyone settles into their new routines.
- SAFETY: Everyone should drive with extra caution to keep all safe. Be alert for walkers crossing streets. Drivers must stop for them in crossing walks. Drivers must also stop for buses when their red lights are flashing and students are getting on or off the buses. There are reduced speed limits in school zones too!
- FREE LUNCHES CONTINUE: Massachusetts decided to extend the free school meal program for all students for the 2022-2023 school year.
- EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES: There are several job opportunities available within the Northborough Southborough Public School District. View them all including substitute teachers, student support professionals, administrative assistants, food service workers and more!

- September 5: Labor Day. No School.
- September 6: State Primary election. No School (vote at Melican Middle School 7 a.m.-8 p.m.)
- September 7: Northborough School Committee meeting, 6:30 p.m. at Melican Middle School Library
- September 13: Proctor School photo day
- September 13: Fifth grade band rental night at Melican Middle School, 6 p.m.
- September 15: Algonquin Open House in the evening, 6 pm
- September 21: Combined School Committee Meeting, 5:30 p.m. at Algonquin Regional High School Library followed by Regional School Committee Meeting at 7:00 p.m.
- September 21-22: Melican Middle School photo days
- September 22: Elementary School early dismissal. Open House in the evening 6:30-8:30 p.m.
- September 22: Algonquin senior parent college night, 6:30 p.m.
- September 23: Zeh School photo day.
- September 26: Rosh Hashanah. No School.
- September 28: Algonquin senior parent financial aid night, 6:30 p.m.
- September 29: Melican Middle School early dismissal. Open House in the evening.
