Local youth football players compete in National All Star team

Four players from the Northborough-Southborough Youth Football and Cheer Association were recently selected to the Central Massachusetts National All-Star Team. They will be competing in Kissimmee, Florida Saturday, December 4-Saturday, December 11 against teams from all over the country.

Cograts to the four players participating on the Central MA All Star Teams: seventh graders Victor Norman and Max Tolander is playing on the 12U All Star Team; and fifth graders and first year tackle players Caden Davis and Caleb Ferlo are playing on the 10U All Star Team.

The players were initially selected by their coaches and invited to try out for the Central Mass All Star Teams. The competition was not easy with over 30 towns within Central MA competing for spots on the team and about 120 players trying out per team!

The players were evaluated at the tryout and 36 players were selected to represent the Central MA Team.

Coach Doug Pulsifer was asked to be assistant coach on the 12U All Star Team.

The players had intense practices throughout November leading up to the Florida trip. Northborough and Southborough wish them luck!
