April showers bring…well, recycling opportunities, a musical performance, the unveiling of Northborough’s public art exhibit, and more!
Friday, April 8
- Go see our talented Melican Middle School students perform High School Musical Jr. at the high school this weekend. Tickets will be available at the door!
- Grab dinner out before the musical performance or before the big Harlem Wizards vs. Borough Breakers basketball game and support Peaslee School PTO.
- Donate and help the Algonquin PTO provide a post-prom party for both the junior and senior students this year.
Saturday, April 9
- It’s time to recycle the bags of plastic film you have been collecting. Bring it to the back of Kohl’s between 8-9 a.m.
- It’s also time to recycle the electronics that have been sitting in your basement and garage at St. Rose of Lima 9 a.m-1 p.m.
- No recycling? How about hunting? The Algonquin National Honor Society is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. sharp.
Sunday, April 10
- The Cultural Council’s public art exhibit is officially unveiled at noon at Ellsworth-McAfee Park. The Go Out Doors-Northborough showcase will run through May.

- Sign up for your COVID-19 boosters. Two clinics are being held by the town at the Senior Center.
- Mark your calendar for the annual Town Meeting to be held at Algonquin on Monday, April 25 at 6 p.m. Vote for town and school budgets, zoning bylaws, Department of Public Works expenditures for road repairs and equipment, and more.
- Sign up to attend the Northborough Library Job Seekers Program’s next presentation Networking Secrets that Generate Relationships & Interviews.
- Get to know your candidates before the town election on Tuesday, May 10. Candidate statements will be posted as received by The Northborough Guide. A candidate night sponsored by Northborough Visions is also planned.

- Attend a prayer vigil for Ukraine at Trinity Church on Good Friday.
